MEN’S PROFESSIONAL TENNIS RETURNS TO KELOWNA

The Kelowna Futures Tennis - ITF Pro Circuit event is back for 2013 and promises to be better than ever!
Sanctioned once again by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and our very own Tennis Canada, this year’s event will continue the tradition started in summer 2012 of bringing ultra-competitive and extremely high-level professional men’s tennis to the Okanagan Valley.
Tailor-made for the diehard tennis fan or even those coming new to the sport, the Kelowna ITF Futures Event provides the very best in professional sports entertainment. With amazing sight-lines, a comfortable atmosphere and almost unbelievable access for the viewing public, the Basil Meikle Tennis Courts (located at the Parkinson Recreation Center) create a stunning, sunshine-drenched setting that quite literally guarantees courtside seats for all. Add in some good food, great drinks and assorted entertainment and you’re left with one truly unique summertime adventure.

Scheduled for the week of June 30 to July 7, 2013 the $15,000 Kelowna Futures Tennis event will feature many of the best “up and coming” men’s players currently touring on the professional tennis circuit, possibly including emerging Canadian champ, Filip Peliwol. All of these athletes are highly motivated to play their very best as they compete for the very same official ATP tour ranking points that global stars like Novak Djokovic, Milos Raonic and Roger Federer accumulate every year. The future of professional men’s tennis is on display right now at Kelowna Futures Tennis.
Organized and officially sanctioned by the ITF Tennis Pro Circuit, the Kelowna Futures Tennis event will showcase players ranked from 1200 up to 200 in the world, providing an almost unmatched opportunity to see professional men’s tennis without ever leaving one of the most beautiful cities in all of Canada – an important designation that Kelowna was very privileged to secure.
Notable alumni of the prestigious ITF Pro Circuit include world champions like Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Raphael Nadal, Andy Murray and many more.
